ATASA aims to be a nationally recognized dynamic, innovative, law abiding, and member driven Association furthering the interests of our sector and to actively contribute to the sustainability of a productive vibrant value add economy in South Africa. We seek to participate fully in sector and industry skills development initiatives and transformation in our sector. We have an in-house training centre where skills development programmes are held. The ATASA offices are managed by a team of Office Staff and led by a Chairperson and six Executive Committee Members. We are situated at 15 Brand Road, Unit 6, 2nd Floor Charter House, Berea, Durban.
Since our initial formation in 2009 under the Chairmanship of our late Chairperson we have sought to grow our membership from humble beginnings of a handful of South Coast factories when we were called the Coastal Clothing Manufacturers Association (CCMA) to where we are today with 49 member factories nationally employing 10,000 employees. Our Vision is to double our membership in the next five years with some innovative and creative ideas to make this a reality.
We remain one of the largest employer associations in the clothing industry.
